* **Fear & Greed Index:** 21 – Extreme Fear
Index VIX oproti předchozímu dni mírně poklesl, zatímco ukazatel Fear & Greed nadále signalizoval extrémní strach.
Tyto hodnoty představují samostatnou část dlouhodobého sledování. Dostupná data neumožňují prokázat příčinnou souvislost mezi dnešními geofyzikálními jevy a tržním sentimentem.
### Závěrečné hodnocení
**24. říjen 2026 byl dnem nízké sluneční aktivity, převážně klidných geomagnetických podmínek a výrazné synoptické aktivity nad severním Atlantikem.**
Z geomagnetických měření vystupovala krátkodobá odchylka stanice College.
Schumannovy spektrogramy vykazovaly odlišné časové průběhy: Etna 1 pravidelné vertikální sloupy, Cumiana dlouhotrvající zvýrazněnou aktivitu a Tomsk večerní sloupky po relativně klidném dni.
Význam těchto rozdílů zůstává otevřenou otázkou dalšího sledování.

**Quiet Solar Conditions, Evening Columns in Tomsk, and a Deep Atlantic Low-Pressure System**
### Solar Activity
Solar activity continued to decline throughout the day. The Solar Activity Index decreased from 3.5 in the morning to 3.1 in the evening.
X-ray emissions remained predominantly within the B-class range, with only occasional weak C-class flares.
The evening X-ray flux reached B4.21. The maximum recorded over the previous 24 hours was C1.33, while the 72-hour maximum remained C3.55.
Solar wind conditions were calm, with a speed of 392 km/s, a particle density of 2.19 particles/cm³, and an interplanetary magnetic field Bz component of −1.46 nT.
Radio blackout and solar radiation storm levels remained at R0 and S0.
### Geomagnetic Activity
Geomagnetic conditions were predominantly quiet.
The NOAA K-index, which had reached approximately 4+ during the previous evening, declined to around 2−.
Individual geomagnetic stations displayed different patterns:
* **College:** 1–1–1–4–3
* **Boulder:** 2–1–1–2–1
* **Fredericksburg:** 1–1–1–1–2
* **Planetary index:** 2–1.5–0.5–2–1.5
The most notable deviation occurred at College, where three quiet intervals were followed by an increase to K=4 and a subsequent decline to K=3.
The other monitored stations remained predominantly at low values, indicating a regional difference in geomagnetic response.
### Schumann Resonance Spectrograms
**Tomsk**
The daytime spectrogram remained relatively quiet, showing mainly background noise and a narrow band of enhanced structure near the first harmonic.
More prominent vertical columns appeared only in the evening, shortly after 20:30 and around 21:20.
Compared with the previous day, Tomsk displayed an opposite temporal distribution of its more pronounced features.
**Etna**
The spectrogram was dominated by background noise, isolated vertical spikes, and small embroidered-looking structures.
No major dominant event was observed.
**Etna 1**
Both morning and afternoon recordings showed a regular forest of vertical columns.
The most prominent individual feature was a red vertical spike at approximately 14:40.
**Cumiana**
The first period of enhanced activity began before 04:00 and continued until approximately 06:00.
A second phase started before 09:00 and persisted with varying intensity until the end of the available recording after 17:00.
The atmospheric electrical signal began at 1432 mV, increased to 1437 mV at approximately 02:00, and gradually returned to 1432 mV around noon.
**Spectrogram Summary**
The monitored stations displayed different temporal patterns and different types of enhanced structures.
The available observations do not establish whether these features share a common cause.
Preserving their timing and regional differences remains important for future comparative analysis.
### Synoptic Conditions – Windy
Atmospheric circulation across the Northern Hemisphere was characterized by several extensive low-pressure systems.
Significant low-pressure areas were located:
1. South of the Bering Strait.
2. Along the western coast of the United States.
3. South of Hudson Bay.
4. Near the coast of Newfoundland.
5. Near Scotland, where a particularly deep low-pressure system influenced a large portion of the North Atlantic.
6. Across northern Siberia and the Laptev Sea.
The most prominent feature of the European–Atlantic region was the deep low-pressure system near Scotland, associated with broad atmospheric circulation across the North Atlantic.
### Lightning Activity – Blitzortung
Lightning activity was unevenly distributed.
**North America and the Atlantic:** Thunderstorms were observed near Bermuda and in mountainous areas of the western United States.
**Europe:** Lightning activity was concentrated over the Adriatic Sea and around Naples.
**Asia and Australia:** The monitored Asian regions remained relatively quiet. Thunderstorm activity was mainly observed over inland Australia.
### Financial Markets and Sentiment
* **Baltic Dry Index (BDI):** 2660
* **VIX:** 19.45
* **Fear & Greed Index:** 21 – Extreme Fear
The VIX declined slightly compared with the previous day, while the Fear & Greed Index continued to indicate extreme fear.
These indicators form a separate component of the long-term monitoring project. The available observations do not establish a causal relationship between today's geophysical conditions and financial market sentiment.
### Final Assessment
**October 24, 2026, was characterized by low solar activity, predominantly quiet geomagnetic conditions, and pronounced synoptic activity over the North Atlantic.**
A short-lived increase at the College geomagnetic station stood out against otherwise quiet measurements.
The Schumann spectrograms displayed different temporal patterns: regular vertical columns at Etna 1, prolonged enhanced activity at Cumiana, and evening columns at Tomsk following a relatively quiet day.
The significance of these differences remains an open question for further observation.
